Friends of Forsyth

On Earth Day, 2011, the Forsyth Farmers' Market launched The Friends of the Forsyth Farmers' Market (FOFFM). This project is designed to help grow and sustain the market and its related education and advocacy programs. The group is part of the Board of Director's efforts to help the market become self-sustaining. Along with helping the Forsyth Farmers’ Market achieve its mission, there are other benefits to being a member. On May 17, we'll host the Friends of the Forsyth Farmers' Market Farm Picnic. Friends will gather at the Old Dairy Farm on Tennessee Avenue for a locally sourced sack lunch, local drinks, 3 local bands and tee shirt (that was printed locally!). Become a member to attend and check out our FaceBook event page to get more details:

Below are the suggested donations for various levels of involvement however we encourage Friends to donate whatever is appropriate for them.

Friend: $30.00 (Individual)

Family: $50.00 (2 Adults)

  • “ The Forsyth Farmers' Market has helped me begin a life journey of healthy eating and living a much healthier lifestyle. I am actually excited about cooking and eating more fresh vegetables than I have ever been before. I love the experience and love that all the farmers and staff know me every Saturday that I come. This market has truly been a blessing to me.” – Lakesha Green

  • “I can't think of any other place I'd rather be on a Saturday morning in Savannah than the Forsyth Farmers' Market! Where else can you find such an array of fresh, healthy, local produce, breads, meats, poultry, cheese, desserts, coffee, Italian pastas/sauces/condiments, and even popsicles in an atmosphere that is full of fascinating vendors, ridiculously happy customers, and entertaining sights. ” – Jeanne Glover

  • “There is no better place to see a community at its best than at the Forsyth Farmers' Market. Smiles, friendly words of wisdom and great food make this city a better (and tastier) place to be!” – Leigh Thomson
